I usually work with lead to fabricate stained glass windows. When the design is extremely intricate and the pieces are very small, the best thing to use is copper foil. The foil is thin adhesive backed copper that is wrapped around each piece of glass. When they are all foiled, you lay the pieces together like a puzzle, flux the foil, and solder it. These panels are done in the copper foil method.
